Dell Latitude 5520 Performance —
i7-1185G7 · 4.8GHz · Iris Xe 96EU · 15.6" FHD — Intel's Best 11th Gen in a 15" Business Chassis
Verified Dell specifications. The Latitude 5520 brings Intel's flagship 11th Gen processor — the same i7-1185G7 found in the HP Dragonfly Max at Ksh 65,000 — into a 15.6" business chassis at Ksh 58,000. Browse all Dell Latitude models.
The i7-1185G7 is Intel's top 11th Gen Tiger Lake processor — the same chip in the HP Dragonfly Max and HP x360 1030 G8. Its 4.8GHz single-core boost makes every task feel instantaneous: spreadsheet calculations, document exports, Zoom rendering, and app launches. 4 cores and 8 threads handle heavy multitasking — Teams video call + Chrome (20 tabs) + Office + data analysis tools simultaneously, without slowdown. The 15.6" chassis gives the i7-1185G7 more thermal headroom than compact 13" ultrabooks, allowing sustained boost performance during demanding workloads.
The i7-1185G7 carries Iris Xe at 96 Execution Units — 20% more GPU compute than the standard 80EU found in i5-1145G7 machines. This is the best integrated graphics in any Windows laptop at this price tier in our stock. For Kenyan professionals: smooth 4K video playback, faster Canva and DaVinci Resolve exports, fluid Excel charts and Power BI dashboards, and Zoom virtual backgrounds without CPU load. The 15.6" display gives more canvas to appreciate the difference.
15.6" Full HD IPS — Why Screen Size and Quality Both Matter
The Latitude 5520 pairs a 15.6" Full HD IPS panel (1920×1080) with the i7-1185G7 — a combination unavailable in 13–14" ultrabooks at this price. The FHD IPS panel delivers accurate colours, wide viewing angles, and crisp 1080p clarity for document work, data analysis, and video calls. The 15.6" size means: more Excel rows and columns visible without scrolling, side-by-side browser and document windows without cramping, and a more immersive video call or presentation experience. For Kenyan professionals who work primarily at a desk, the Latitude 5520 delivers a near-desktop experience in a portable package.
i7-1185G7 · 4.8GHz
4 Cores · 8 Threads · 12MB Cache. Intel's top 11th Gen chip. 4.8GHz boost — the same processor in machines costing significantly more.
Iris Xe 96EU — Max Tier
20% more GPU than standard Iris Xe 80EU. Best integrated graphics in 11th Gen. Faster Canva, DaVinci, 4K playback, and chart rendering.
16GB RAM · 512GB SSD
16GB handles every professional workload simultaneously. 512GB NVMe stores years of files, projects, and software without an external drive.
Windows 11 Pro
BitLocker encryption · Remote Desktop · Hyper-V · Group Policy. Enterprise-grade OS for corporate environments, not Windows 11 Home.

Common questions from Kenyan buyers about the Dell Latitude 5520.
-
The Dell Latitude 5520 with Core i7-1185G7, 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD, and 15.6" FHD IPS display is available at Ksh 58,000 (was Ksh 63,000) at Tech Convenience Store, Nairobi CBD. WhatsApp 0714 722 264 to confirm current stock. We deliver countrywide across all 47 counties in Kenya.

The Core i7-1185G7 is Intel's top 11th Gen Tiger Lake processor — the flagship of the entire 11th Gen U-series lineup. It has 4.8GHz single-core boost (the highest in 11th Gen), 4 cores and 8 threads, 12MB L3 cache, and the Iris Xe GPU at 96 Execution Units — the maximum Iris Xe configuration, exclusive to this processor. The 96EU Iris Xe delivers 20% more GPU performance than the standard 80EU found in i5-1145G7 machines like the Latitude 5320. In the Latitude 5520's 15.6" chassis, it has more thermal headroom to sustain this performance during demanding tasks.
-
Windows 11 Pro includes several enterprise features not found in Windows 11 Home: BitLocker — full-disk encryption that protects data on a lost or stolen laptop. Remote Desktop — allows IT support teams to access and troubleshoot the machine remotely. Hyper-V — built-in virtualisation for running virtual machines. Windows Sandbox — run untrusted software safely in an isolated environment. Group Policy — allows corporate IT to manage settings across devices. For Kenyan organisations with IT departments, Windows 11 Pro meets corporate device management requirements that Home cannot.
-
Both use the same i7-1185G7 processor with Iris Xe 96EU and 512GB. The key differences are size and keyboard. Choose the Dell Latitude 5520 (Ksh 58,000) if: you need a larger 15.6" display and the numpad for number-heavy work, work primarily at a desk, or want the larger battery (68Wh vs 57Wh). Choose the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 (Ksh 52,500) if: you travel frequently and need a lighter machine (1.13kg vs 1.78kg), or the ThinkPad keyboard's 1.8mm travel is important for all-day typing. The X1 Carbon is also Ksh 5,500 cheaper. WhatsApp us on 0714 722 264 to discuss which fits your workflow.
-
Yes — the Dell Latitude 5520's 15.6" chassis includes a full-size keyboard with dedicated numpad. This is a practical advantage for accountants, finance professionals, data entry workers, and analysts who work with numbers frequently — the numpad allows faster and more accurate numeric input than using the top row keys. It is not available on 13–14 inch laptops due to space constraints.
